Southco has recently expanded its Captive Screw offering with a low profile version designed for applications where installation space is extremely limited. The 52 Miniature Captive Screw Low Profile series features a 25% reduction in installation height compared with Southco’s standard 52 Miniature series, enabling captive fastening in the tightest spaces.
The newest addition to Southco’s Captive Screw line takes up less vertical space, making it an ideal solution for applications where reduced installation height is a necessity, such as metal enclosure panels and PC boards. The 52 Low Profile series is available with a metal finish and with an over-molded head that acts as a visual indicator for access points, enabling the designer to designate access through an array of standard and custom color options.
The 52 Low Profile series is available with press-in and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) options that provide versatility for fastening and unfastening. Combination tool-operated recesses and hand-tightened knurled head options provide versatility when mounting doors, panels and other hardware components in limited space applications.
